During my last high school year, I wanted to shoot a short movie with some friends.
I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do in that movie. This was right before school started.
However, once it started, we were all busy with our studies, and we wouldn’t find time to shoot that movie. So I kept procrastinating and decided to leave it for our winter holidays.
As time went by, somedays, during the most random moments; when I was working out, taking a shower, studying… I would suddenly come up with these great ideas for things we could add to our movie.
I would keep all of them in mind or even write them down, and when the time arrived, we made a better movie than we could have ever imagined.
This type of situation keeps happening all the time, which is why procrastinating can actually be helpful.
It gives you more time to think about what you’ll do later, and you come up with more ideas…
Don’t use this as an excuse to stop working, but it’s actually awesome, and sometimes we can stop rushing things, and everything will be better eventually.
